Veterinarians



Dr. Bristol, DVM

Dr. Bristol is a 2006 Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. After spending nearly thirteen years in a busy mixed animal practice, she chose to join Roane Veterinary Hospital to focus on her favorite professional pursuits instead – small animal internal medicine and dermatology. After hours, Dr. Bristol enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, enthusiastic Golden Retriever, and adventuresome cats.

Dr. Cook, DVM

Dr. Cook graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. A native of Alabama, he practiced in Georgia, Colorado, and North Carolina before arriving at Roane Veterinary Hospital in 2015. Dr. Cook’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife, Kari, their two children, Lila and Stella, and their three dogs. Dr. Cook also enjoys traveling, Auburn football, fishing, and boating.

Dr. Spence, DVM

Dr. Spence is a native East Tennessean who worked in veterinary medicine for nearly 15 years before obtaining her DVM from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She completed her clinical year at the University of Georgia and is thrilled to be back in her home state. Her professional interests include dermatology, nutrition, and internal medicine. Dr. Spence is married and has three children. She also has a Miniature Schnauzer named Quark and a Poodle mix named Luna. She enjoys taking classes at the Oak Ridge Kennel Club with her dogs in her spare time, watching movies with her family, and doing home improvement projects.

Dr. Quiett, DVM

Dr. Quiett was raised in Kingston, TN and graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She has worked in various settings ranging from general practice to emergency to government and back to general practice. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, fur babies, reading, traveling, going to church and enjoying each moment life has to offer.

Practice Manager

Heather, Practice Manager

I have worked in Veterinary Medicine since 2005. Before becoming practice manager, I was one of the surgery assistants at RVH. My favorite thing about vet med is surgery (particularly orthopedics) and being there for the patients and making them feel better. I am a mom of 2 kids, as well as 2 fur babies. A dog named Noelle and cat Waldo. I love to read and spend time with my kids and enjoy everything life has to offer!

Kali, Vet Assistant

I grew up around all kinds of animals, which helped me develop a deep understanding of their care and behavior. I’ve worked with animals professionally since 2024. I also have two dogs of my own, so I know firsthand the dedication, patience, and compassion that pets deserve. I’m committed to providing safe, loving, and reliable care for every animal I meet.

Ann, Vet Assistant

Ann is one of our veterinary assistants. She has been working dogs/cats since 1993. She has been an assistant, receptionist and groomer. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her grand daughter Addy, playing in flower beds, crafting, chicken tendering, and is home body. Her 4 legged children are Phaedra a Doberman, and Stanley Biscuit a boston terrier. When asked about what Anns favorite things were about Vet Med, she said, “Forming a relationship and bond with pets and their parents.”

Sumer, Vet Assistant

With a lifelong passion for animals, I’ve been fortunate to spend most of my life caring for them through volunteer work, professional grooming, and as a veterinary assistant. I believe compassion and a positive attitude can make all the difference—for both pets and the people who love them—and I strive to bring both to every interaction. I have a special soft spot for senior pets and find it incredibly rewarding to help them stay comfortable, happy, and loved throughout every stage of life. Building trusting relationships with clients while providing gentle, attentive care to their furry family members is one of the most fulfilling parts and makes it worth. When I’m not at the hospital, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, traveling, and making memories.

Alainna, Vet Assistant

Alainna has been working with animals since 2018. Although she is a vet assistant, you can also find her in reception as well. She is a fur mom of 3 rescues. She enjoys reading, watching the birds with her cats and keeps a small garden. What does she love about vet med? She says, “I love getting to care for all of the patients, especially cats, making a connection with clients.

Abby, Veterinary/Surgery Assistant

Abby has been in Veterinary Medicine for 28 years. She started at RVH in 2018 and moved to Colorado in 2021. She has since moved back and started with RVH again in 2024. Some of her favorite hobbies are keeping tarantulas, reading and learning to crochet. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and horseback riding. Outside of vet med, Mountain lions and bears are her favorite animals. When asked what her favorite thing about Vet Med is, she said “Surgery (especially dentals) and developing a bond with clients and their pets.”

Camera, Veterinary/Surgery Assistant

Camera has been in Veterinary Medicine since 2024 and recently got accepted to further her Veterinary Medicine education with Penn Fosters Veterinary Technician Program. She loves hanging out with and coaching her kids in basketball and softball. Most importantly Praising Jesus! She also has 3 pups named Kodak, Asa and DJ. When asked what her favorite thing about Vet Med is, she said “I really enjoy surgery and comforting the patients in their after care.”

Kate, Veterinary/Surgery Assistant

Kate has been in Veterinary Medicine since 2018 and has been with RVH since 2023. She has an associate’s in Animal Science with a minor in Business. Outside of work she enjoys reading, tending to her horses, chickens, dogs and cats. When asked about what she likes most about Vet Med she says, “Making all the pets feel better and of course, all the puppies and kittens.

Sarah, Lead Technician

Sarah is one of our surgery assistants here at RVH. She has been in Veterinary Medicine since 2006 and has been with RVH since 2023. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, and nature walks with her husband, two kids and her poodles. When asked what Sarahs favorite things about Vet Med are, she said “It’s never boring. Every day is different. One day we will see a really interesting medical case, some days are really sad and the next could be puppy and kitten exams all day. I’ve known that this is what I’ve wanted to do since I was 13 years old. I wanted to have the knowledge and ability to help our animal friends feel better.”

Emily, Receptionist/CSR

Emily began her career as a Veterinary Receptionist in 2013. Harriman is her home, and she is thrilled to be working in her community. Emily has been at RVH for 3 years now. Emily spends her free time with her husband and their two boys. They have two cats named Louie and Luna and a dog named Sunny.
